Kick off our fall Adult Education season with a special conversation featuring our pastor emeritus the Rev. Dr. J. Oscar McCloud and his memoir, I Dared to Hope: How a Passion for Justice Transformed a Sharecropper’s Son.

In this inspiring and deeply personal story, McCloud reflects on his journey from a sharecropping family in rural Georgia to a lifetime of ministry, leadership, and service in the Presbyterian Church. As he shares stories of faith, perseverance, education, and the pursuit of justice, we’ll have the opportunity to reflect on how hope can sustain us, shape us, and call us toward a more faithful future.

Food will be served in Jones Auditorium, and books will be sold and signed.
