The Joe Vedella Holiday Dinner

Former Fifth Avenue employee Joe Vedella had a heart for the streets—a love for all, regardless of their circumstances. Through his calling at Fifth Avenue, Joe received his “sentry post” to work with the homeless in deep and relational ways. His life of hard knocks, having spent time in prison and overcoming alcohol and heroin addictions, offered practical and holy ways for this community to welcome and love our vulnerable neighbors.

Outreach Ministries celebrates Joe’s legacy and Fifth Avenue’s commitment to serving vulnerable neighbors at the annual Joe Vedella Dinner. This holiday tradition is a fine dining experience for guests, complete with a coat check, plated dinner service, and more! Volunteers are needed following the 11 am worship service to greet, welcome, seat, serve, and converse with our guests.
